The Island



Di scena al Southwark Playhouse di Londra The Island di Athol Fugard.

Un dramma dell’era dell’apartheid, ambientata in una prigione del Sud Africa. Due compagni di cella, improbabili amici, passano il tempo preparandosi per mettere in scena Antigone davanti agli altri prigionieri e alle guardie – un atto di sfida da parte di persone che hanno perso tutto quello che hanno da perdere.
Un grande dramma di sfida e determinazione dipinge storie che provengono da Robben Island, dove è stato a lungo prigioniero Nelson Mandela.
