Sinossi:

“Ladies Football Club” is a play inspired by true events during World War I. In 1917, amid the Great War, a group of women workers at a munitions factory in Sheffield, England, started playing football during their lunch breaks. Despite facing numerous challenges and societal obstacles, these women pursue their passion with unwavering determination, gaining public support and affection. However, after the war ends, men attempt to reassert traditional gender roles, seeking to suppress the women’s newfound freedom and passion for football. The play explores themes of empowerment, solidarity, and the fight for women’s rights through the story of these pioneering female footballers.
