Sinossi:

An adaptation of Mikhail Bulgakov’s 1925 novel, the play is set in Stalinist Russia and follows Professor Preobrazhensky, a renowned doctor who conducts a controversial experiment by transplanting a human pituitary gland into a stray dog named Sharik. This procedure leads to Sharik’s transformation into a man, resulting in unforeseen and surreal consequences. The narrative explores themes of identity, societal transformation, and the ethical implications of scientific experimentation.

The production features Sandro Lombardi as Professor Preobrazhensky and Paolo Pierobon as Sharik, with direction by Giorgio Sangati.
